New Post
Apologies that there was no newsletter yesterday, I just couldn’t find the time to fit it in. But there was still a nice winner in the broadcast channel in the form of Blizzard Of Oz for Paul Townend and Willie Mullins.
Today’s racing is absolutely packed, with jumps cards at Hexham, Leicester and Exeter, while there are three AW meetings at Lingfield, Kempton and Dundalk.
Let’s keep it short and sweet and get on with the good stuff…

Ones to watch
There are four juvenile races in a row to open tonight’s card at Kempton, and the first contest at 17:00 should go in the way of Perfect Spring (2/1). She produced a career-best when second over 6f at this course four weeks ago, and she had four of today’s rivals behind her then. Return to 7f this evening shouldn’t be an issue, and there’s a good chance the Andrew Balding horse sheds her maiden tag with Oisin on board.
Moving on to the 17:30, this is another race that could go to the favourite. Rascal Recknell (13/8) made a promising debut at Sandown in August when third behind two horses who have both won since. He was sold for a whopping 215,000gns in October and is likely to improve on his first start for Kevin Philippart De Foy.
I don’t have a fancy for the 18:00 and the 18:30 is the broadcast channel selection, so see that in the link below.

One that caught my eye instantly this morning was Mylesfromwicklow in the 15:05 at Leicester. He was a very nice winner on his chase debut at Huntingdon over this distance for Dan Skelton on the day I went up there last month.
He jumped very fluently and stayed on well to win comfortably. He’s off a 6lb higher mark, but Fergus Gillard’s claim helps with that and there should be the potential of further progress. He’s currently 85/40.
John and Thady Gosden could release a good on in the 15:00 at Lingfield, as Mahboob is the 7/5 favourite to make a winning start in the Shadwell colours. But I think Godolphin’s Nature Watch (10/3) could come on from his debut when a clear second and only beaten by a neck at Wolverhampton last month to open his account today.
