JPRacing - Super Sunday

Plenty of winners on a Sunday make Mondays much more bearable, right? Canute (13/8) landed my third Twitter NAP in a row under Ryan Moore at Navan, while Thunder Blue (13/8) and Pearls And Rubies (3/1) were both advised in the telegram.

Going for my fourth Twitter NAP in a row today and eying up my previous record of nine in succession. But in general, let’s hope there are plenty more winners throughout the course of the week!

Headlines

After all the drama of Frankie Dettori replacing Richard Kingscote in the saddle of Desert Crown for the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained horse isn’t even going to Royal Ascot after suffering a setback

Shadwell’s racing manager Angus Gold claims that they could be looking to send Al Asifah to the Curragh for the Irish Oaks next month after she took her record to 2-2 with an impressive victory in the Listed Agnes Keyser Stakes at Goodwood yesterday. The Gosdens appear to have another very good filly on their hands.

Charlie Appleby’s dry June finally ended on Saturday, as after waiting nine days for his first winner of the month, three came at once. He landed a double on Saturday’s card at Haydock thanks to Ruling Dynasty and Ancient Wisdom, while Siskany won the Grade 2 Belmont Gold Cup stateside.

One to watch

I’ve picked a couple of smart-looking youngsters so far in the one-to-watch section, with Buttons and Midnight Affair both turning into winners, while Fusterlandia and The Caribbean are still worth giving a second chance after not being disgraced with second-place finishes.

Today’s one to watch is another Amo Racing filly — Painite (7/4). She’s running in the 17:40 at Windsor and holds leading claims upped in trip to 6f after a promising debut in which she finished second over 5f at Nottingham.

Going all out and giving you lucky people two exclusives today!

The first is Bobby’s Blessing (9/4) in the 16:00 at Lingfield. He stayed on well under Oisin Murphy to win by a nose under Oisin Murphy at Beverley on debut at the end of May and that form makes the Charlie Johnson horse a key player today.

The other is from the world of jumps racing — Nadim (6/4) in the 16:50 at Southwell. He was clear second on his handicap hurdle debut to the in-form Pak Army, who picked up his fourth win in a row, at Stratford last time out and on that form, he can pick up a first win under Harry Cobden today.
