An elusive third winner has evaded me like the plague all week, and we were stuck on two again yesterday as Brave Knight and Ayiko both won.
There were a couple of seconds, but I’m not here to dwell on missed opportunities, and I’m optimistic that we can go again looking at today’s lineup.
Ffos Las is abandoned, so there’s just the one jumps card at Exeter. But there is afternoon AW at Southwell and an evening AW meeting at Chelmsford - so plenty to keep us entertained.
Now, let’s delve into today’s action…

Ones to watch
Benoit De La Sayette’s Tsunami Spirit (7/4) is being very well backed for the 15:08 at Southwell. The Kevin Philippart De Foy horse won a Kempton two runs ago from 4/1, and was a very close second when switched back to turf at Catterick in October. The return to six furlong and being back on the AW are two things that should both suit today for this nursery debut.
Twirler was a promising third by half-a-length on debut at Newcastle earlier this month, and there’s a good chance she can go better and open her account for Charlie Fellowes in the 17:30 despite a slight drift out to 9/4.
Desert Raider (2/1) got off the mark on the fifth attempt in a first-time visor here in September, and while he only won by a nose that day, a 3lb rise might not stop him from following up as he’s been gelded since and further progress could be on the cards in the 18:30 after an 82-day break.

Endless Escape has gone to the top of the market for the 13:55 at Exeter this morning, shortening into 6/4 and passing Mayhem Mya. But the Chris Honour-trained horse was one of the first that stood out to me when looking at the cards last night and I’m siding with the mare at 13/8.
She came on from finishing 4-4 on her chase debut when second in a Listed contest over C&D here last month, which Endless Escape was fifth in. On that form, she has every chance of following up this afternoon.
