It is another, and potentially the last, Blue Yonder Day! The boy heads to Lingfield for the opener at 12:40 and is the second favourite behind Asgard’s Captain. We’ll touch more on that in a bit.
Yesterday didn’t go to plan, as St Dennis’s Well was all we had to celebrate in what was another winner for the telegram, so hopefully we have a bit more luck this afternoon and this evening.
As well as Lingfield, there is another AW meeting at Kempton and jumps at Fairyhouse, Chepstow, and Catterick.
Let’s get on with it…

Blue Yonder
As already mentioned, today is potentially Blue Yonder’s last time racing in the MPR colours as he’s back in the sales at the start of February — this time with no reserve.
It is an amateur race this afternoon, and a good jockey has been booked in Eireann Cagney. Asgard’s Captain defied a 14lb rise to win LTO and there’s nothing to suggest that he shouldn’t be able to shake off a further three.
Blue Yonder is also up three for his win at Newcastle before the New Year, and another good run is expected of him. He’s being well-backed, as he was 8/1 last night and now into 7/2, but it’s hard to predict how these amateurs are going to pan out sometimes.
Regardless, with it being potentially his final run and all that, I backed yesterday and I’m hoping for a big performance as he could be shifted next week.
