JPRacing - Tuesday
Couldn’t think of a better title for today’s newsletter, so thought I’d just remind you of what day of the week it is.
Yesterday’s racing was as shite as it looked, but I think our two winners thanks to Oh So Grand and Bremen is probably about the best result I’ve seen from most tipsters on Racing Twitter, so we’ll take it.
Today’s racing is rather underwhelming again, but there’s cards at Beverley, Killarney, Nottingham, Southwell and Lingfield.
Headlines
Savethelastdance and Warm Heart are on track for the Irish Oaks as Aidan O’Brien looks to win the Classic for a record-breaking seventh time on Saturday.
Guineas favourite City Of Troy will appear once more this season with the National Stakes at the Curragh in September set to be his last outing as a 2YO.
Yesterday’s one to watch Bremen was impressive in victory at Killarney and he could step up to Group 2 next month for the Futurity Stakes at the Curragh.
One to watch
There are four two-year-old races across the cards today.
Graceful Thunder is the obvious standout in the opener at Beverley. The Amo racing filly won on good to soft on debut and the softer ground should be in her favour again today. She’s 5/6 best to win, but could be worth adding to your accas.

I also like the look of Rogue Rosie in the 16:00 at Lingfield. She showed a lot of promise on debut at Newbury at the end of last month, challenging the leaders but lost places towards the end to finish fourth. She can improve from that and is readily available at 9/4.

Finally got off the mark on fifth turf attempt when dropped back down to 6f at Brighton lto. Still relatively unexposed over this distance and can defy penalty under Billy Loughnane

Newsletter exclusive tips
We had one winner from this section in yesterday’s absolute minefield. There is just the two newsletter tips today.
The first is Rory The Cat (7/4) in the 15:10 at Beverley. The 3YO joined Lucinda Russell’s yard last month and has progress under the Grand National winner, including a first win over C&D here two runs ago before being beaten by a head at Ayr lto.
It’s a lengthy round trip for this and she wouldn’t send it here again if it wasn’t going to be competitive today.
The other pick is Fierce at 13/8 in the 19:30 at Nottingham. The Gary Moore-trained horse is yet to get off the mark, but he does have some solid form (3422 this season) and today could be the day he finally loses that maiden tag.
