JPRacing - Friday
TGIF! And, to make it even better, it’s arguably the best day of racing yet this week.
Yesterday first though. The JPRacing telegram done their bollocks on the stable whispers, but the punt on Itchy Feet at 5/1 paid off, and Alfred later won in the MPR colours at Wolverhampton under Billy Loughnane.
Before we move onto today, a reminder that I up at Huntingdon tomorrow. So keep an eye out for the content across my socials.
🏇 I’m delighted to be attending the @BetRhino Beer Festival to help promote @Huntingdon_Race on Saturday!

Right today. It’s day one of the November Racing Weekend at Ascot. As well as that, there are jumps cards at Fairyhouse, Catterick and Chepstow, and AW meetings at Dundalk and Southwell.

Ones to watch
Whispersinthewind was featured in the newsletter earlier this month, but she was beaten by Sweetest on what was her second outing. She goes again in the 5:30 at Dundalk, and the Donnacha O’Brien horse is firmly the one to beat today at 6/4. The step up to a mile should suit and the account should be opened today.
At Southwell, Kathmandu is being hammered in the 16:45, as she 9/2 last night and now 2/1. She was midfield from 28/1 in a class four Fillies’ Novice Stakes event at Kempton on November 1, and that experience could set her up nicely for this drop in class.
It certainly isn’t easy to back Dan Skelton with confidence at the minute, as he has won just six of his last 60. However, he might have the winner in Trudie Glen in the bumper at Catterick.
It’s a tough race to call, with three former P2P winners in the field. But Skelton’s runner has the benefit of bumper experience when a decent third on debut when beaten by less than two lengths at Ludlow in May, and she might come on from that now. She’s drifted out to 7/2.

Good standard as a hurdler with 3 wins in 7. Was beaten on Chase/Yard debut by the promising JPR One last month, but that experience could be crucial against The Carpenter, who is making first chase appearance

Former winning NAP Union Flag is seeing a lot of money in the 12:40 at Catterick. He won comfortably on his first start for McCain at Musselburgh that day earlier this month, and he’s taken to go again at 6/4 despite a 7lb penalty.
Just Over Land looks capable of picking up his first win over hurdles on the sixth attempt from 2/1 in the 14:15 at Chepstow. He was third at this course at the end of last month and being a full-brother to GOOD RISK AT ALL suggests that he will enjoy this longer trop.
