It feels like ages since we actually had a full day of racing, but today’s the day despite Leicester making us wait until midday to confirm they were going ahead with the card following a failed inspection at 10:30 this morning.
As well as Leicester, Doncaster (which also passed an inspection) is already underway with 5/2 favourite Townhill winning the opening race there, while there is an evening AW meeting at Kempton later.
There’s making up to today as well, as yesterday’s selections were an utter shit show after a good couple of picks on Monday. There’s not much time to get this out before we lose even more races, so let’s get on with it…

Failed to get off the mark over hurdles, but made a promising start on his Chase debut at Ludlow when a clear second in November and can go one better today

Hopefully, Personal Ambition can follow on from Townhill as another winning favourite at Doncaster. The Ben Pauling-trained horse won on debut over hurdles at Warwick in November from 12/1 and a respectable third in a Grade 2 at Sandown in December. He has a big chance to win down in grade today and is currently 11/8.
Tommie Gun is another who made a winning start over hurdles, scoring at Southwell LTO, and he should be able to follow up on that success at 2/1 in the 14:50 at Leicester despite a 6lb rise.
Laura’s Breeze returned to form with a close second at this course last week, and she has to be taken seriously again off the mark back up in trip over a mile under Rossa Ryan this evening. 15/8 in the 18:00
