JPRacing - Four card Tuesday
Good morning! Today’s newsletter is the penultimate edition until July 10. Don’t worry though, the daily NAPs on Twitter will continue throughout that period — I just won’t have the time or resources to write a newsletter everyday for the next week and a half or so.
The disappointment from Royal Ascot continued yesterday as I picked out just one winner — good old Alpina Express. The Charlie Johnston filly is yet to let us down and she romped home by an impressive five lengths at Windsor.
It’s a relatively quiet day of racing today, with just four cards — three flat at Beverley, Brighton and Newbury and one jumps at Newton Abbot. Interestingly, there isn’t a previous course winner on the card at Newbury today.
Don't think there is a single previous course winner on the card @NewburyRacing Tuesday evening. Collectively they are 0-37.

Headlines
The biggest news of the day was Sheikh Abdullah Almalek Alsabah moving the exciting Asadna to Alice Hayes from George Boughey after the Mehmas colt could fare no better than ninth in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Frankie Dettori has confirmed that he is extending his farewell tour to include a potential crack at the Melbourne Cup in November — a race he claims he has always wanted to win.
Blue Rose Cen, who sensationally won both the French Guineas and the Oaks, is set to make her British debut in the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood in August.
Guineas winners Chaldean and Paddington are on course to renew their rivalry in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood as well. The bear will turn him over once again, I’m sure.
One to watch
There are a couple of 2YO races on the card at Newbury this evening. The 18:40 features my Twitter NAP Lady Of Leisure, the other is a Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes at 18:05 and the favourite Delicacy appears to be worth a mention.
The Richard Hannon horse ran better than her 25/1 SP to finish fifth of 10 runners and just over two lengths behind the winner on debut at Kempton earlier this month.
She’s expected to come on from that run and is being heavily backed to get off the mark tonight at 3/1. Joint-second favourite Crooked Crown (4/1) could be the biggest danger after getting off the mark at Chepstow lto and deserves respect despite carrying a penalty.

18:40 Newbury: Lady Of Leisure (13/8)
Second on debut at Haydock and that form has been boosted since as third won next time out. Oisin Murphy takes the ride this time and she should be in contention again

Newsletter exclusive tips
Today’s first newsletter exclusive is Kiaraad (11/8) in the 15:15 at Beverley. The three-year-old stayed on well for second in what was a promising debut at Lingfield earlier this month and it looks possible that he will be able to get off the mark for owner/trainer Ismail Mohammed today.
The other is Bear To Dream (5/2) in the 16:30 at Brighton. The filly is something of a C&D specialist with form figures of 132132 in handicaps on the south coast. She’s off the same mark as her second here lto and 1lb lighter than her last win here in 2022.
