Well, well, well… what about that for a run from Blue Yonder yesterday? As I mentioned, he opened at 8s on Tuesday and was well-backed into 7/2 by post-time yesterday — and he romped home. I hope plenty of you were on…
Go on the boy! 💙🧡
👏 What a performance

As well as Blue Yonder, Farmers Lodge (13/8) and O’Moore Park (7/4) were in the winner’s enclosure. The latter proved to be good value, as was tipped at 7/4 in the telegram on Tuesday night and went off odds-on.
It’s another busy one today, with jumps at Gowran Park, Huntingdon and Wetherby, with AW at Southwell and Newcastle.
Let’s get into it…

13:35 Southwell: Big Narstie (6/4)
Returned to 7f with a convincing win at Wolverhampton 10 days ago. Back up in trip this afternoon and can defy 5lb penalty if in some form

The opener at Huntingdon looks a pick ‘em type contest, but I do like the look of Kansas City Star at 2/1. He’s placed in five of his six starts over hurdles and joins Harry Derham’s rising yard.
This is his yard/chasing debut since moving from Gordon Elliott, and there’s a chance he make the perfect start by getting his head in front.
The 13:00 at Southwell is a very interesting one, with two previous Derby runners leading the betting. The Foxes was fifth at Epsom, but has drifted massively in the market as the money has come for Military Order.
The Godolphin horse made a promising start to last season with a win at Newbury before following up in the Listed Derby Trial at Lingfield. But he was more than disappointing in the Derby itself and at Chester in September.
He’s been gelded since though and can potentially get back to winning ways this afternoon. He’s been backed into 5/4.
There’s been plenty of market support for Asta La Pasta, but I still like the expensive Fortunate Man for the O’Neills. He was a 210,000 euro purchase after winning his only P2P and he won nicely from 9/1 at Newbury in December after unseated Jonjo Jr early in his rules debut. A run of similar vein could see him win the 15:00 from 11/8.
Tom Lacey’s Tune In A Box won by over 9 lengths when last seen at Newcastle in November, and the grey gelding looks like he could still be a bit ahead of the handicapper despite a 9lb rise. He’s 6/4 for the 16:10.
We can’t end it without talking about the big race of the day, the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park at 14:15. Thedevilscoachman is the 6/4 favourite, and there’s no question that he’s a smart hurdler.
But I am naturally drawn to Monkfish. The dual Cheltenham winner returned from a two-year absence to run a huge race when second in a Grade 2 and only narrowly behind Asterion Forlonge at Fairyhouse in April. He couldn’t follow that up in the Grade 1 Champion Stayers Hurdle later that month, but has proven he can go well fresh and can hopefully run another big race after nine months off today. He’s 9/4.
Newcastle selections potentially in the telegram later.
