JPRacing - Thursday
This week has been shit so far. Yesterday topped it all off, with three of the four horses tipped finishing second.
We’ve got to get back on track today, and the good news is that Stable Whispers is back!
It’s still a relatively poor day of racing though, with jumps at Market Rasen, Thurles, Wincanton and Newcastle and a sole AW meeting at Wolverhampton.

Ones to watch
There are six 2YO races at Wolverhampton this evening, and I like the look of Alfred at 13/8 in the 16:30.
He picked up his second career win and his first on the AW at Newcastle just four days ago, and looks capable of following up on that despite being under a 6lb penalty.
Billy Loughnane is in the saddle again and can make it 2 for 2 since joining MPR and George Boughey.
In the bumper at Market Rasen (15:25), Denburn looks capable of following up on his debut success over C&D back in May despite having to carry a penalty of 7lb.
The Alan King-trained horse won by 11 lengths that day and sets a fair standard amongst mostly newcomers, so has a good chance at 15/8.

12:40 Newcastle: Imperial Alex (7/5)
Won over hurdles and looks the progressive type over fences, improving on debut 3/5 when a clear second at Warwick earlier this month. Up 5lb, but looks capable of going one better. Plenty of market support this morning… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

There’s good word for Tidal Storm in the 12:20 at Wincanton. Still readily available at 3/1 in some places.

I’m going to go out on a limb here, which might either make me look like a genius or a total idiot and pick Itchy Feet in the 13:40 at Market Rasen at 5/1.
He won a hurdle contest at Huntingdon in January off the same mark he’s at today, and he followed that up a second in a Grade 2 at Haydock in February.
His form since is nothing to write home about, as he struggles in competitive handicaps at Cheltenham and Aintree, and he pulled up on reappearance last month.
The Olly Murphy horse might benefit from that outing in October even though he couldn’t finish after a layoff since April, and he’s capable at this level off this mark.
