JPRacing - Three Card Tuesday
The newsletter form continued yesterday, as the NAP let us down going the perfect 4/4 😥. 3-4 and a 5/1 winner isn’t the end of the world though, so we’ll take it.
🥲 Absolutely gutted that the NAP let us down going 4/4 today
👏 But we’ll take 3/4 and hopefully NAP can get back on track tomorrow

If you thought yesterday’s cards were bad, wait until you see today’s…
So, we have Newton Abbott, Worcester and Roscommon. Great…
Headlines
Disappointing field sizes are the theme for the two big races on the opening day of the Ebor Festival tomorrow. Paddington will face just three rivals in £1m Juddmonte, while Gregory will go up against just four rivals in the Great Voltigeur,

While those entries are disappointing, 39 entries remain in contention for Saturday’s Ebor at this stage — including firm favourite Sweet William, who is looking for a four-timer after wins at Doncaster, Newbury and Goodwood this season.
Desert Crown is set to have surgery on the fetlock injury he sustained in training for the Juddmonte. Connections have yet to confirm if he will run again.
After a disappointing display in the King George, Deauville Legend is set to return at Windsor on Saturday night. He hold entries in the Group 3 and Listed races on the card, but James Ferguson is more targeting the latter.
Asadna is set to go to the Curragh for the G3 Round Tower Stakes on Saturday as Alice Haynes continues to search for ways to get the 2YO back on track after his last couple of outings.
Kinross is on course to defend his City of York crown on Saturday. The Ralph Beckett-trained horse enjoyed his return to 7f when winning at Glorious Goodwood earlier this month and he’s currently 13/8 to win again at York this weekend.
One to watch
Obviously, there is only one flat card today at Roscommon. However, they do have two juvenile races — an Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at 17:45 and ab Irish EBF Auction Series Race at 18:15.
I like the look of Joseph O’Brien’s Bad Desire (11/4) in the 17:45. He was two lengths clear a furlong out on debut at Galway earlier this month, but was ultimately beaten by Aidan O’Brien’s pre-race favourite Navy Seal. Improvement should be on the cards from that run and the yielding ground shouldn’t be an issue as it was heavy on debut.
Aidan has a Dubawi offspring Cambridge making debut in this race and is an interesting newcomer on pedigree.

Worcester 5:30: Zoran (15/8)
Produced a career best run when winning by six lengths to get off the mark on second chase stat for Emma Lavelle over C&D on at Worcester earlier this month. 8lb higher for that, but given how easily he scored, could win again… httptwitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Clearance (11/4) 16:30 Newton Abbot. The Michael Blake horse has won three times over C&D, including lto at the end of July and a 3lb rise might not stop him striking again here.

Another from Worcester. Tribal Glory is 15/8 in the 18:30. He won a PTP in Ireland and went close when beaten over C&D here by just a length in a bumper last month. Could go one better for in-form Fergal O’Brien.
