JPRacing - Thursday

There were three winners in yesterdayโ€™s newsletter, with the NAP Eagleโ€™s Realm and Inverlochy both landing at Newcastle, while Mukaafah proved to be an absolute rocket on his debut at Kempton.

Thereโ€™s plenty of racing this afternoon to take us into an exciting weekend of action as well, with jumps at Punchestown, Market Rasen, Taunton and Sedgefield, and one AW meeting at Chelmsford.

Letโ€™s get on with itโ€ฆ

There are no 2YOs at Chelmsford that particularly standout, and there are no bumpers today, so itโ€™s straight in with the NAP

What we have lost from above, we can hopefully make up for here. However, I do need to think of a new layout for the jumps racing season.

The markets have spoken volumes a lot over the last couple of days, so itโ€™s worth following the money and a lot seems to be coming for Horn Cape in the 15:40 at Sedgefield.

The JP McManus horse is into 13/8 from 5/2 and is a dual winner at this course after landing a victory over 2m1f here just last week. This is a test of an additional three furlongs, but heโ€™s taken to follow up off an unchanged mark.

Charlie Deutsch and Venetia Williams are in fine fettle, and Heros (3/1) could provide them with another winner this week in the 14:25 at Taunton. Heโ€™s a French bumper winner who got a couple of seconds over hurdles earlier this year but could come over fences and he looks nicely handicapped for this chasing debut.

Another horse who the money is coming for is Maxzeno in the 19:30 at Chelmsford. The Michael Appleby horse has been second on both his starts on tapeta, and could be worth siding with on the polytrack as he looks to get off the mark on the 10th attempt under Billy Loughnane. Heโ€™s right into 11/8 from over 2s.

Over to Market Rasen for the last pick of the day, the 15:21 looks like a close one to call between Wolfspear and Mikhailovich, but Iโ€™m siding with the latter for the in-form Sean Bowen and Olly Murphy.

The unexposed seven-year-old returned from a 493-day absence to win at Exeter last month, and the 13/8 chance looks capable of following up on that success despite a 7lb higher mark this afternoon.
